In the
Mission Statement of Servus Credit Union Ltd, we pledge to
support community activities by investing time, energy and resources in the
communities where we work and live. Our partnership with Oscar Romero is
a perfect fit.
The
Partners in Education Program matches Servus branches with
neighboring schools for mutually beneficial
partnerships. The program began in 1990, and has grown to 23 school
partnerships. Some past and planned activities at Oscar Romero include:
Sponsorship of the 1st and 2nd Annual Basketball Tournament/Spring into the
Arts Silent Auction
Sponsorship/Supervision at "Much Dance" night
Sponsorship of inaugural School yearbook
Sponsor Speaking Luncheon at the Canadian Club, May,2006
Send 9 students to upcoming Edmonton Eskimos game June,2006
Presentation made to Grade 11 Career and Life Management Class, 2005

addition, all graduating students are encouraged to apply for Servus Scholarships and or Bursaries which are awarded annually.
